Here it is! The gigantic post summarizing all my work during December... If you have been checking out my deviantART and flickr profiles, you might already know some of those photos.
Let's start with an amazing photo I was able to shoot on November 30. It was a beautiful sunny day with fresh powder snow.

Minor update
Dear visitor(s),
I just enabled the smartphone version of this blog and already tried it with my phone - the blog looks pretty decent! Now you can access WET-photography from any smartphone. Enjoy the posts without the need to zoom and scroll around :) Now I just have to figure out how to tweak the design of the mobile layout ...
As for new photos: December has been a pretty boring month but expect a few photos within the next week.
Thanks for reading, stop by again soon ;)
PS: Merry Christmas, happy new year and so on. Have fun!

Winter
Well, it's been some time since the last post. In the meantime Father Frost decided to plow through Austria, leaving it covered in snow and cold. And that meant it was time for me to grab my gear once again, put on my sheepskin jacket and head out into the frozen forest. The first 3 photos were taken on the way to a small island in the rivulet and the next 8 photos were taken on the said island.
The Results ...

Another midnight shooting
Once again I've seen the moon and once again I had the urge to do some long exposure shooting. What came out are some really nice ultra-long exposure shots (most of them are around 30 seconds). Enjoy:

Autumn morning
Initially, I planned to do some morning fog photos today due to yesterday's weather forecast. But - as usual - those forecasts hardly come true. Nevertheless, I got up early, grabbed my gear once again and headed off into the woods.
Well, enjoy the photos ...

Spotlight on and guide me through the night!
Ok, we were sitting around yesterday evening, drinking beer, playing FIFA, having a good time and listening to music. Then the song "Lichter meiner Stadt" (~ "Lights of my city") started playing and I felt this urge to go out and shoot something - with my camera of course :)
So I grabbed my gear, a good friend and some beer and we headed off into our neon-lit hometown. What followed were ~ 5 hours of walking around at the railway tracks and the main road, a broken beer bottle and some hundred available light/long exposure photos.

October's end
The last week of October had some amazing weather conditions. Frost, first snow, and fog along with some amazing towering clouds.
I'll keep it short, here are the photos:

Watermark contest
I've been playing around with Photoshop some more and updated my watermarks collection. I'm not quiet happy with the current one so I'd like you (if there's anybody out there except Kathi :-D ) to choose one of those three watermarks. Just leave a comment with the number and optionally a brief comment. So here are the contestants:

featuring: Nero
Today was such a typical day to stay at home. It's rainy and cold and gray outside. That's what I think and that's what Nero is obviously thinking. He has been lying around all day, just moving from one corner of the couch to the other ...
So I decided to grab my gear and take some photos while he was sleeping. Unfortunately, just one of the sleeping pics did turn out great and the flash disturbed Nero's sleep. That, in fact, was very fortunate because I took three of the best photographs I've ever made of him ...

The blood in my veins ...
... is music. And the thing that gets my blood boiling are live concerts. It's the atmosphere, the loud ear-blasting sound of a guitar riff, the pulsating bass massaging the guts, the audience going crazy when the band boards the stage. All this and more is my addiction to music.

SOME CHANGES
This is the first post not containing images but please read it anyway
I've made some changes and additions to the blog's layout.
- First of all, you might have already seen the new sidebar element named "WET-photo @". I registered at deviantART and flickr and uploaded some photos which are already featured on the blog and some that are not and will not be featured on this blog. If you like my work and want to see more of it, feel free to browse de dA and flickr galleries
- Next thing: I put labels on every post and will continue with that. This makes it easier for you to find posts containing photos for your favorite photography type. Just click one of these labels at the bottom of the post or at the sidebar and blogger will do the rest of the work for you ;-)
- Last addition: The rating-check-boxes at the bottom of every post! If you don't want to leave a whole comment as a feedback, just click one of the check boxes. This way, you don't have to write a comment and I still can get some feedback :-)
Ok, thank you for reading. I'd love to see some ratings and clicks on the deviantART and flickr links.
Stay tuned, the next photo post is just about to come! ;-)

Tea time!
As you might have realized I have been to a live concert a few days ago. These concerts to me mean a whole bunch of sweating due to pogo dancing/moshing. And this means I usually stand around in my sweaty t-shirt in the cold night air. And as you can imagine: This means getting a cold!
And therefore I'm sitting around at home with my tea mug and a huge pot of tea :-) Teekanne's "1001 Nights" tea. It has the interesting aroma of vanilla, oranges, cinnamon and a few other "oriental" spices.
Anyway, long story short: I made some pics!

C'mon Ceilidh with me!
The Scottish drunk punks from Canada, named The Real McKenzies boarded the stage at the Arena Wien last Friday. And if there's a great band at the Arena it's very likely that you find me there (provided I've got enough money to afford the train ticket!). And if you find me at a gig, it's very likely that I'm armed and dangerous with my camera :-)
It was a fantastic evening with great music and lots of fun! Special thanks to my "bodyguard" for keeping the beer spilling drunks off my camera.
THANK YOU THOMAS!!!
Ok, here are some of the greatest photos ...

Full moon over Attnang
Once again the full moon rises over Attnang and paints the city in a pale light. When the cats sit on the gables and the dogs bark at earth's ancient satellite, it's time. Time for me to grab my gear... I sneak through the night, position my camera and try to produce the picture that has been lurking around in my mind for too long.

The archives, part II: Bojan
So once again I've discovered a whole bunch of great photos in my archive (to be honest, just the first one is a bit older. The rest was taken 4 days ago :-D ). These photos portrait a crazy Croatian war machine ... Bojan!
So here we go:

Macro, nature and a cat
Practice, practice, practice and sometimes messing around - that's what improves skills. Since messing around is somehow more fun I just jumped through the garden and tried to achieve some good macro shots. The results are not thaaat great but still, I think they're worth showing them ...

digging around in the archives ...
So here's the story: I used to organize my photos with ACDSee Pro 3 (excellent software, I like it more than Adobe Bridge or Lightroom). Recently my external HDD crashed, gladly I was able to restore almost all of my data (just ~12 photos are lost).
Anyway! Now I've got to reorganize my whole archive and stumbled upon some older photos from 2008 to early 2010 and now I feel like sharing them :-) ...

Bock Ma's 2010
The beneficial festival "Bock Ma's" (named after Austria's good soul & charity lady Ute Bock) in Timelkam started this year into the final round. Of course I was there to photograph most of the festival and its freaky, colourful and unique atmosphere & visitors. There were a whole load of international and local bands, many alternative projects like the anarchia mailorder, anti-sexism campaigns or fresh vegan food, etc.
All in all, a very diverse festival!
Ok, here are 4 photos for you to enjoy!

Took some photos, did something for my stamina (photo tour by bike), took a dive in the river (with camera) - That's the summary of yesterday's photo trip! It has been quiet a busy day but I'm pleased with the results:

Dear blog,
I'm sooo sorry for neglecting you for 16 long and lonely days! I was lazy but as a German proverb says: "Laziness is the mother of all progress."

Dry Styria!
Not a single drop of rain! Can you imagine?! So the last post in my theme-of-nearly-a-week is just this happy little Buddha. The photo was taken with a Cokin Multi-Images filter (they're quiet funny)
Ok, I hope you still enjoyed this image because I had a lot of fun shooting it (and all the other photos) with my new filters :-).
And as usual: Stay tuned (and eventually leave a comment!).

Land submerged!
The heavens just opened and this fact perfectly fits my theme-of-NEARLY-a-week!
So here are 2 nice photos to illustrate the rainy Austrian apocalypse (Ironically, the apocalypse stopped while I'm writing this *sigh*)
Hope you like 'em! Tomorrow the last photo(s) will arrive because I'm taking a weekend off, visiting sweet sweet Styria!
So stay tuned and have a nice weekend :-)

"Raindrops keep fallin' on my head" ...
... that seems to be Attnang's (my hometown) theme song for this week. It's raining and raining and if it's not raining the sun still won't show up.
Honestly, I don't mind! I think it is the perfect theme-of-the-week and therefore, I'll post one beautiful rain photo per day :-)
You might have noticed that it's already Wednesday so it's not really a "theme-of-the-week" but a "theme-of-NEARLY-a-week"!
This photo is already some months old but the weather is pretty much the same:
Again: Stay tuned, more photos will follow!
